We just returned from what felt like a whirlwind two months back in the States. We were able to see many of you face to face and connect heart to heart. Because of you, our spirits have been encouraged and our passion for the work here renewed.
We were just looking back on my journal where I’d written, prior to our departure for the States, some of the requests were we making of the Lord. God LAVISHED on us in response. He gave and gave and gave…through relationships, experiences, spiritual nourishment, even meeting physical needs....our time was so rich!
God was speaking to us loudly from Psalm 71 this summer. Like the psalmist He has been our hope and confidence since our youth (we were reminded of this as we returned to our hometowns); He has never abandoned us and has been our “strong habitation whereunto we may continually go.”
Verse 14 says:
“But as for me, I will always have hope, my mouth will praise you more and more”…in increasing measure we want to turn a magnifying glass on His goodness and faithfulness. We trust you will hear our praises to our good God as you glimpse His kindness through our eyes.
For “ ‘You are my witnesses,’ declares the Lord, ‘that I AM God.’”
